High Ethanol Petrol, E10

Anybody know anything about this stuff? You get it all over Germany, but apprently it's not suitable for all cars, I've heard it's mainly older cars that can't run on it. Is a Golf4 an older car, can I use it?

I'd say you need the ECU to be mapped for this fuel or have a piggyback system to switch between E10 and unleaded due to the different characteristics of the fuel.
