Stage2 on std side mount

With the car being sold,i feel getting rid of the front bumper and fmic will help boost funds for the next car,will it be ok to run stage2 on the std side mount?

If its been mapped for the FMIC, (like it has) the the fuel will be set to around 12.4:1 with more held boost and more allows ignition advance.  With the OEM SMIC the air intake temp will be greater so the ecu mapping will pull the timing out a little but the boost and fuel will be set for performance not hardware protection.

At the end of the day its commom sense, short burts of power will be fine, but substained racing is going to heat things up quick, just have a quick log of the AIT with VAGCOM and see what sort of temps your getting vs the timing correction.

Nick did map mine to stage 2 on standard IC, but as you know each map is tweaked to the car. So yes you would be able to run standard IC on a stage 2 map, but you would have to get it tweaked to suit.
