mates having problems with his mk3 p reg golf gti 8v
when its started from cold it starts and then chugs and cuts out....... it takes a fair few tryes to get it going
and it then runs ok and just when its about to get warm ie the oil temp starts to register it starts to chug and cut out! it has being doing this when warm.....
mate said the revs just die down until it stalls he said the exhaust makes a daft noise...
he thinks its a fuel problem and not a electrical one ie spark....
i've checked over the engine cant find any problems.......
after its being started it runs ok........ when i did my brakes at his house today he started it up and it ran perfect!!
i thought it could be a temp sender but the cars to ''new electronicly'' for my know how!
anyone have any ideas!
i have a power loss problem on the vr6 it lacks pedal responce..... you floor it and it just doesnt go.. and we've replaced the throttle sender! so i've given up!! unless its the hall sender which is playing up but the dealer replaced this 2 year or so ago!
