it won't sync until you tell it to. that's why you need to do a backup first

ok, so let me run through this again
first i take my old itunes folder off the old PC, replace the itunes folder on the new mac with the old folder from the PC
open itunes
Back up phone
Sync
and am al back to normal ?

I need to research this for someone also, he wants to transfer everything from his PC Itunes to his MBP itunes. Mac to mac is so easy it does everything for you but i have never tried it with a PC as been lucky enough never to own one
