home multimedia networking . . . ?

im a mac user, and like my laptop all clean and free o crap so i can use if for work, so i have all my media stored on external hard drives.

does anyone know of any devices/software that enables you to create a wireless multimedia network at home, and still use your standard wireless hub for internet use at the same time?

ive been doing some reearch but keep coming to dead ends

But for the purest engine experience, displacement has no replacement. All other methods are simply attempts to artificially recreate the benefits of displacement.

Ive been eyeing up the Sonos system myself, pretty damn sexy stuff.

Mede8er under the TV connected by HDMI, also connected to the standard ADSL router via homeplugs.  Then also into the router a 8TB NAS, by QNAP.  Works astoundly well, HD no problem.  Cost around £500 to set up, but is awesome - let me know if you want more details.
