n/s hand brake seizing.
« on: 04 September 2011, 20:49 »
Changed my rear disc's pads and wheel bearings a while ago as bearings shot and disc slightly grooved. but how notice handbrake lever lifts high, adjusted cable all good..... so i thought! NOW play in first part of lever before cable for n/s engaging. checked the caliper and found hand brake cable lever seizing used pen oil which freed it up ok, but it keeps seizing does this mean i need a new caliperor can you strip just the lever unit off and copper grease it up.
Any advise needed as got replacement green stuff rear pads to put in but don't want them to wear away and munch the discs.
