got a txt off the geezer  this is what he said

" hi i am sorry but im unable to do your ecu  your car ecu is bosch motronic m3.8.
but i might be able to do this by removing eeprom from your ecu and reprogramming it  but i need a car near by as there are a few possible dumps for this ecu or you will have to take and bring me the ecu a few times untill the right 1 will be programmed  as it takes lots of time !

im thinking do i really want to chance this ?

Hello,

It's just 4 bytes of data to change in the EEPROM (serial memory) takes about 30 seconds to do with an hex editor. The hard bit it getting the 8pin chip to read in the programmer, our 8pin clip is about 12years only and on it's last legs.   Pop the ecu into me one day and I will sort it out for you, you just by dinner to the staff.
