i bought my aum for 2k and it had a some demons to sort, all the mechanics is spot on now after spending a few squids.if you dont mind it not being a minter and wanna put some tlc into it go for it,so many things you can do for almost next to nothing.if you do most of the work yourself its much cheaper and get a really good feeling about it.many peeps here will give advice and help-the dubbers way of life so just do it dude.

bought mine for 1800, when i bought it needed temp sender, and a lightbulb. only money ive spent since in the year of owning it has been for a wiper mechanism (45 quid and an arse to fit)

look at a few, you might get lucky and find someone who just wants rid quickly, bargains to be had

this may piss people off, but i bought a 5 door anniversairy 1.8t with leather recaros, climate control, rain sensitive wipers etc, flush boot, new coilies, silicon boostpipes, forge 007 valve, revo remap, 18" alloys with new tyres, loads of spares and it only cost me 800 quid! ok the bodywork is not mint, but not bad. im a painter so can easily sort this! only things its needed are new wishbone bushes, MAF and driveshaft! so all in only cost me about £950! it got full service history too!
