my renewal just came through iam currently paying £174 a month and the renewal offer is £272 for 9months theres no way iam paying that if a have to ill garage my golf as no way ill sell it any way you can help me with better price please

as it stands my insurance is

golf gti 1.8t
fully comp
me-main driver  wife-casual
me-9points      wife-0points
all mods declared
me-28   wife- 27
me 2yrs ncb   wife-2yrs ncb
both in full time work

please can u help

So its gone up about 25%. Thats how much insurance has gone up for our age group I am afraid, so unless you find a companyt that beats it, I doubt HIC will lower the quote.
That is a huge amount to be paying for an old golf in my opinion (I thought mine was bad at £850 for 350bhp).
Have you tried other insurers or a limited mileage policy?
Cars are getting to be a real luxury item it seems!

best 1 so far is aviva 202mth 250 deposit fully comp for us both

Um, is the aviva for 9months too? If it is, its really the same as the other quote if it is. about £20 in it.
Rung Sky insurance yet? Beat the nearest quote by £1K last year for me.
Remember the excesses and like-for-like bits too. Not sure aviva cover like for like.
How many miles a year you doing?
