I'm not at my place at the moment so I can't check for you. What you really need is a wiring diagram. Haynes manual has both a list of fuse positions and wiring diagrams. If you haven't got one you could pop down the library and photocopy them, maybe?

Oh, ok.........well going back to your original question: with no fuses in, I wouldn't have thought the dashboard and switches should light up.........I could do with the diagrams in front of me so I could chase the circuits for you, but, what exactly is lighting up with no fuses in and what are you doing to make them light up? Switching on the headlights? Or just the ignition?

Sounds like a bit of a nightmare. Looking at your original post, you've changed the loom too?

Think you're going to have to get your head round those wiring diagrams if you're going to make any headway with it.
