You only ever need two tools in life. If it moves and it shouldn't use Duct Tape. If it does not move and it should, use WD40.

I had this lag on a car i bought a couple of months ago.Cleaned throttle body with carn cleaner (loads of) but made no difference.Cleaned maf sensor same way and lag cured !.

how did you go about cleaning maf? it looks fragile....

Remove it from the housing very carefully! Clean it with contact cleaner, and a cotton but but obviously be very gentle as well with the cotton bud. Works a treat, this has happened to me twice as well. I always suggest this first for anyone experiencing this sort of problem before going and forking out for Coils, Dizzys, Crank sensors etc etc........

Contact cleaner!!!! Its electrical so it needs to evaporate. Dont put carb cleaner on it! Carb cleaner for throttle body.
