Insurance advice please

I'm 19, 20 in about a month, I currently drive a 1.6 golf mk3 and I'm paying £2500 for insurance, I've been looking at getting a mk4 1.8T but the best quote I can get is around £4500, is this what I'm going to expect or am I looking in the wrong places? Thanks for looking and I would appreciate your advice.

Tbh, that's probably the best your going to get. My advice, wait a few years before jumping into something like that
