Spark plugs and also see if you eligible for new coilpacks as VW have a massive recall on them :afro:

Check all your pipework, seals and clips are in tip top condition

New plugs?

Get it scanned for faults / check boost hoses for splits and make sure clamps are tight.

I'd go and visit you nearest remapping company from the forum who will no doubt give your car the once over FOC and let you know what, if anything they recommend you to change, remove or service prior to the remap, then the fun can begin

Cool, but be aware that problems such as boost leaks etc may only show once it's been remapped and ran on the dyno

Surely there is no turning back from that point but only correcting the leaks?

Upto you, you can get the car back to STD then cure problems then go back - most don't
