THEFTS
« on: 28 August 2011, 18:54 »
Well, where to begin?

i got up yesterday to work on my motor and noticed a flyer offering cash for scrap cars (to which i was insulted lol) i looked at my car and realised that my exhaust had been stolen. so i phoned up the number on the flyer and asked them if they happened to take it? i got the answer "im a business man not a thief speil" to which i said i have been checking my car every night and its soo coincidental that when the flyer has appeared my exhaust had disappeared. the bloke says he is going to ask his workers if they have taken it but followed up with saying that his workers wouldnt admit it anyway!

now i have just noticed that my old cylinder head has been stolen also. it was there last night as i needed a bolt off of it, pretty sure it was there this morning and get back and its gone. whats worrying though is this cylinder head was right by my front door in a cardboard box under a bush that you cant see unless being at my front door. yes i should have had it under lock and key i appreciate that however this is THEFT and now am starting to think that maybe the house is next.

FOOOOOKED right off right now!

Cnutsssss

Ring the police and get them to take prints.

I had my garage broken into, nothing went missing and car was not touched. but I got them to take finger prints from the garage door, and I've left the dust that shows the fingerprints on it for everyone to see.

I would ring the police tell them what you have just told us. Nothing will come of it but if something was to happen in the near future at least they will have bit of a lead.

i spose the lucky thing is, that was the fooooked one  so whoever gets that will need, new oil stem seals, and valve guides, a nice cheap head will turn into an expensive one.

iv just put a massive ingersol padlock on my gate so if anything else goes missing i know its truely theft, the moment they touch my house all of my little friends come out to play, and you know what that actually goes for anything i own

yes mate, the exhaust is off the 8v so it werent connected but it looked like it was if you know what i mean? lol

rag and bone man you say? believe it or not we do have the stereotypical "do as you likey" come round on a horse and cart asking for scrap but give them their dues they never steal, my mate had a washing machiene outside his on the front lawn for 2weeks and they asked if they could take it. but then again you never know do ya?

This is getting pretty common, a woman on the radio the other day said they went on holiday and came back to find the old washing machine in her drive had gone but they would have had to lift it over 2 cars to get it, i live in a cul-de-sac and the cars are all parked down the road in such a way that you would never get a truck up here anyway, i thank my lucky stars every day.

it is getting beyond a joke! i need to get my car done asap now i feel as i still have all the dash stripped out. i dont fancy getting the dash in if i have to have a look at the wiring if the old girl dont start. gotta get her dropped today on my coilies. and need to find a vr6 manual somewhere so i know im connecting things in the right place lol
