Gti suspension springs

Will mk3 golf gti suspension springs fit on to a 1.4 mk3 golf? Seen some adjustable coil springs on the bay but they are only advertised as fitting a gti.......? Any one know?

same springs/shock type on my mrs old 1.6GL as her 2.0 8v, i know this as i have changed them on both cars

the 1.6 went from std to gti then on to lowered jamex

the 2.0 went from standard to coilovers

im sure its just the rates and heights that are different
