insurance dilema
« on: 19 September 2011, 21:40 »
Am selling my main car to free up some money and want to change my policy onto my girlfriends car for a few months.. she is the registered keeper and has a policy running on the car.. would i be able to just swap my policy to her car or would it not allow because there is always a policy on it ?

before people say it i dont want to get put on her policy because i am 6 months through my policy and dont want to lose another years no claims

Advice would be great

you cannot insure the same vehicle twice at the same time.

if you girlfriend owns the car then it should be insured in her name.
if you want to be able to drive her car then just get added to her policy (she may even get some money back)
if your worried about ncd then dont cancel your policy.
