Brake pads for vr6
« on: 23 August 2011, 23:07 »
I wonder if anyone fancies recommending me new pads.

Few criteria......

Priority is good stopping power!

Could do with them lasting, I had red stuff pads on a skyline of mine and they lasted about 20 minutes.

Not hugely bothered about dust.

Fronts and backs

Also what's the best brake fluid? (minimal track use)

Cheers

Glad you posted this bud as my stopping power in my VR is pants.

So Mintex pads will make a differance.......Is a good quality fluid really needed as I have always thought brake fluid is brake fluid  (I am not very knowlegable when it comes to brakes)  :embarassed:

you do get different brake fluid.

your normal dot 4 fluid is standard for normal cars not running huge power or having to stop so quick. if you start running power and use dot 4 you will experience brake fade especially on track days. i know gsf do the upgraded fluid cant remember if it is dot 5 but you will know if it is upgraded or not
