I'm chasing a fluttery drive belt conundrum - Can anyone tell me if 16V alternators are equipped with clutch type drives please?

Many thanks.

How about 8v? My belt chirps and squeeks although it is fairly new. The belt looks like its all over the place when I rev. Crank pulley looks like its moving too, yet all bolts are tight. Any ideas?
