should be better than standard bhp, it's been bored out to 1.9L and every internal part has been replaced with all genuine parts shipped in from germany, plus picked up a full stainless system less than 6 months old and gonna get a stainless manifold so it'll hopefully be pushing 135bhp, then i intend to cam it in the next few months  :cool:

Agreed.  That's what mine was capable of when new and that also required larger ports, valves, cam etc...

Agreed.  That's what mine was capable of when new and that also required larger ports, valves, cam etc...

guess that means i'll just have to make sure i get a cam then! :D

A mate had a 2.0 8v with cam, big port head, full rebuild including lightening + balancing, and twin weber 40's, that made 150bhp, and in the mk1 it was rapid and very revvy. He used to switch off engine @ speed, pump throttle and re start engine for the loudest bang ever, forget a normal backfire. Used to sound like the backbox was gonna blow apart at the seams!! Was the best thing for sh!tting people up, followed by the roar of the carbs, did it for years and never missed a beat.
