I'm Graham, 25 from Glasgow and decided to sign up due to my pending GTI arrival.
Picking up my second VW in 3 months tomorrow afternoon. 10 plate Golf 6 GTI DSG. Had a Focus ST and replaced it with a candy white Golf GT 1.4 TSI (160) and I hate it. Can't live without my speed so the GTI it is

Always been curious about VW's small capacity high output engines..... I'm sure they're good but not as good as something bigger.
They're good wee frugal engines, but they're distracting to drive. You need to rag them to get the car to pick up any decent rate of acceleration, and it's easy to confuse the supercharger at low revs by simply backing off and on the gas. Managed to average 52mpg on a run to Edinburgh and back so they're economical enough.
Coming from a Focus ST with 302bhp and 360lb/ft torque, it was driving me absolutely mental!
