Cleaning...with/without Trims?
« on: 23 June 2011, 21:26 »
Hi folks,

The golf I have hasnt had a clean or wash is a good 3 years or so.

The paintwork is in pretty good nick IMO...however the is one or two scruffs which I will fix up with some touch up paint. The grill area is faded and the spolier has turned grey!

There is a few areas of bublle rust (bottom of door, tailgate areas and a few other we spots - nothing major).

I am feeling that I need to take the trims all over and wash and polish with them off to give it some live. I have also been told to layer rip-seed oil on the trim area after replacing.

Any suggestions or advice on what to do here.

Cleaning isnt my strong point and I have never been much or a tidy car person. however I feel I need to get my lazy a*se and do it lol.

Any advice would be appricated.

Thanks very much.
