Courtesy Cars

Just a bit of advice for you. When looking around for cheap car insurance, be very very aware of the "Standard" courtesy car option. It may save you £20-30 odd quid on your annual premium (and didn't I feel like a smart cookie when I did). However, when some tosser drives into you and your car has to go in for repair (which will take a minimum of 5 working days) you will get a courtesy car from the bodyshop. It will be the nastiest, cheapest horrible piece of newish junk they can possible get hold of. It will be the most basic of the basic, the most inconceivably horrid little rat of a vehicle you'll ever have the misfortune of driving. I will be ticking the "enchanced courtesy car" box next time. The woman was embarrassed to be handing over the keys to it. Luckily I can walk to work. I did 80 miles in it. Nasty thing!!

I got a Nissan Pixo.  3 cylinders and 996cc of utter power.

PS It does an indicated 62mph in 2nd gear before the rev limiter saves the valves' bid for escape...

They even took the hubcaps off it as a cost cutting exercise. Black steelies for me!!

@Chuff - I didn't try to put more than 2 people in it. But when I went over to a mate's house to watch the boxing I took my mate Matt. We're both quite chunky, so an overall weight of over 30 stone plus a gearbox in the "boot" and it struggled a bit...
