A question for all the wheel whores out there!
« on: 04 July 2011, 14:38 »
A friend of mine has just purchased some lovely wheels for her Polo, only thing is, no one knows what they are! I have managed to find out so far that they are made by a company called Lega, and they are roughly from around the 70's. Do any of you guys know what they are, or what cars they came on etc? Any info would be much appreciated! :D

I think they're Alfa factory options.

Think you're on to something, don't/didn't Lega make Alfa's alloys?

If it is alfa, you'll need wobble bolts.

Alfas are 4x98.

I have a feeling that these may be Fiat Mirafiori wheels, (rare option) from the late 70s back then, people would have opted for the Campagnolo's instead, because thats what was fitted to Ferrari's! These wheels would have been painted silver or gold.. in their day

Lega, is Italian for "Alloy" look to see if anything else is on the wheels, manufacter was probably on the center cap

Personally, i would have them crack tested before putting such an old wheel on my car
