help my mk is driving me mad!!!

Hi guys and girls
I have a mk 2 golf gti and she has suddenly developed a miss fire and i think that she is only running on three. She ticks over fine but under load at low revs she is running terrible i have done all the basics new plugs, leads, dizzy cap and rotary arm, i have changed the fuel filter and ran some cleaner threw and i have changed the coil pack of my other golf to see if this has an effect. I have checked the timing and done a compression test and all of this is fine i am completely at a loss with what to try next any help would be greatly appreciated

What car have you got.  What engine (specifically).

It helps.

i.e.  Is is an 8v or 16v?  what year is it?  What type of engine management do you run?  Digi/Kjet/something exotic...

It all helps us to narrow it down for you.

she is a mk 2 1.8 8v gti 1989 she is a digi on a PB engine code i belive
