Halfords or any good motor factors will sell you the kit.
The only thing i remember is the tool i had wouldn't work on 16v engines, but fine on 8v.
Do you need an uprated tool for 16v Wayne? or was mine just sh!t  :grin:

Standard tool should be fine unless yours was not very good.  :grin:

16v has uprated springs, it didn't seem strong enough to compress them.
It worked fine on the polo though.

At the well known VW place I used to work many years ago we used Sykes ones all ok on both.
