oil light coming on

sup... this is for my old 8v

been told that the oil warning light is coming on when cold... it appears after about a minute

if the engine/ignition is switched off and the car si restarted the oil light does not appear again?

oil has been checked... seems fine and about half full

Any other symtoms? such as engine rattling?
Its probably a faulty sensor, but worth getting the pressure checked for piece of mind.

If its only half full then top up!

My old mk3 8v did this transpired to be the ignition switch. Replaced that and it never did it again where as it was doing it 3-4 times a week.

First thing I would try is more oil. Once the engine is started and oil sprayed everywhere, there might not be enough in a sump, hence oil light.
