Centrol locking
« on: 08 June 2011, 11:57 »
Hey guys on my golf my centrol locking has decided to stop working, it now wont lock any of the doors or the boot but will unluck everything (once i have gone round and locked them) this wouldnt normally bother me but my boot is a different key for the rest of the car (i dont have the key, changed the boots and the old lock didnt work) so now my boot is unlocked all the time? the battery is fully charged the unit looks ok and is plugged in? what could the possible faults be? any ideas?

Does it unlock/lock if you use the key on both sides? Or is it unlock only both passenger and drivers side?

can you hear the pump pumping when you attempt to lock it?

If not my money would be on a broken wire from the lock in the bellow between the drivers door and the car.

I can here the pump when its locking but i cant here anything whilst it is unlocking, if you think it could be something as simple as a broken wire then i have an idea where this might have happend
thanks for the suggestion i shall post what/if i find anything
