Mk3 gti service question
« on: 04 June 2011, 14:59 »
Sorry for the ignorance im normally found in the mk2 section but am I right in thinking that the water pump on the mk3 gti is the same as the mk2 in that it runs off the cam belt? Reason I ask is that the cars going in for a major service next week and I'm getting all the parts together for it and as the cam belt is being done wanted to also change the pump if it runs off the belt.

Cheers.

So after further investigation it turns out that the water pump is not run off the cam belt but is powered by the power steering belt,oh well I've bought the pump now so may aswell get it done.
