R.E another alloy wheel qustion

I own a standard 3 door gold gti 1.8T which is sitting on 5 spoke 17 inch alloys  which i dont like and want to replace dont no weather go 18's or stick with 17's any help with wheel style.. any help much appercited . I arnt going to lower her due to speed bumps in my area and my drive is steep and last golf i had which was lowered 40mm kept catching and scraping down my drive so dont want this to do the same

get 18s then fill arches lil bit more if ur not lowering
