AUM 1.8 20v turbo abs and traction control
« on: 16 May 2011, 22:23 »
hi im new to this forum, so forgive me if this has been covered before, but i have 2001 AUM 1.8 20v turbo golf and yesterday the  abs and traction control waring lights both came on at the same time on the dash and are on permanently.
The golfs running fine and braking fine could it just be a faulty abs sensor?
oh and all my brake lights are working fine, i read some where on here that it could be a faulty air mass meter, im running a bmc cda if that helps, cant hear any boost leaks either. an still running with the stock bosch dv how do you tell if its knackered?
any help much appreciated

Going to sound daft bud, you need to get it scanned and find out what codes it throws up...
Make a note of the codes and clear them....Then wait and see if they come back again....
Have you checked all the wiring from the brakes ect ect
