pcv valve mistake :S
« on: 12 May 2011, 18:48 »
hi guys my lower crankcase breather pipe split so i replaced it with this ebay pipe...

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VW-GOLF-BORA-MK4-LEON-1-8T-20VT-PCV-LOWER-BREATHER-PIPE-/150592019486?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item230ffbdc1e#ht_1576wt_1139

however after reading a few threads i realised theres a PCV valve in the t piece that i removed!!

as can be seen from this photo.. http://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii125/calimori/DSCN0917.jpg

all i did was completely remove the t piece and replace with nothing inside it!?

do i need to buy a pcv valve and put it into the breather pipe??

have i done damage to my engine or isit still ok to drive?

is this the cause of my constant boost leak 17705 error??

any help would be appreciated?! thanks
