R-tech reply

I have just found this post but for some reason cannot reply to it? and its the first I have heard about this.

If at the time of us fitting the fitting the 007P the was not a spring fitted it would have need noticed easy as the car would produce load of low down lag and the turbo would not spool up until around 3200rpm.  (removed your 007p springs and try it)

All DV come to us with the springs pre fitted from forge upon our request, If the have forgot to fit a spring for any reason, or a spirng has been lost, then you should have spoken to me and In would have got a new spring out in the post straight away £FOC.

But its strange how this was only noticed after the FMIC was fitted, in theory when it left here you should have major issues straight away with the car not responding after gear changes, and feeling flat as a fart until the turbo spools to around 3200rpm.

If your still in need of of a Spring then let me know and I can get one sent in the post FOC.
Nick

Just been looking at the members build thread and noticed he is running a BLACK 007P, which if this is the case must have been fitted around 2 years ago and must have been a special order? We only ever supply the silver polished 007P DVs and not the black units.??

I cannot see how running with our remap and a DV "we fitted" 2 years ago would be 100% perfect and you was happy with the remap, then you start to work on the car with the boost pipes, TIP and air box in the area of the DV then you only start to to have issues with the DV two years on???

But I am still willing to send a spring out to help a fellow golfgtiforum member out.

Nick

IMO

The spring was lost at this point >

However as usual I hit a new issue, geometry in the engine bay tore the maf housing off the airbox   Will put some new screws on if not i will bolt the b@stard down the to airbox   "So now I got a hesitation when the turbo kicks in as the housing and the TIP bounce around and air flow becomes unpredictable."

Without a spring fitted and a cold air induction kit your car would flutter,

Why would it all start after you have been playing with the TIP and AIR box?

How long ago was it when the DV was fitted?

Why not contact us when you had issues?

Nick

Hi nick, I replied on the other thread in remaps section. I have no reason to lie either. I got given a choice between a black or silver valve on the day. A forum member who was the other car can confirm this on the day that I was given the choice off the valves. He can also confirm the cars where not checked.

I believe only ben was there and not yourself.

I am only telling you what happened its in your judgement whether you want to believe it or not.

Remap was just over a year ago and I did contact you before about not checking the cars.

As for the FMIC making it known I don't understand why but it has been relocated by the TB, which is when the problem started.

Seriously have some 'off forum dialogue' with each other as it's getting a bit school boy and unprofessional on both sides.  Once resolved then feel free to update us all if you wish to clear things up.  Otherwise it's getting all a bit Eastenders and I hate that programme.
