My original topic would have been how to remove the licence plate, but since i managed to break it into 4 chunks that's not a problem anymore...

Anyway, I'm trying to now get rid of the very rusty licence plate screws, and with all the disasters that I had it now stands thusly:

left (passenger) side screw - no head to it, putting in the screwdriver demolished it due to how rusty it turned out to be. Now a perfect rounded center.

right side screw, this is the one thats had most work attempted on it. Attempted to drill it out, complete failure broke the head off (of the screw, though did manage to snap one of my drill bits). Tried to dremel cut it off from behind the cylindrical metal block, broke 4 discs before giving that up as a lost cause. Tried cutting from behind with a hacksaw blade, well i didnt have any rust behind the plate but I will have soon if I don't repaint the area the hacksaw managed to slice.

So, any ideas how I can get these things off, I should mention I removed the plastic interior boot panel, and the metal is just as rusty on the inside as out for the screws.

All in all probably the worst day of golf work I've ever had, and what I thought would be the easiest thing to do!

Chief.

when mine was rusty i just used mole grips and griped on to the head/ end of thread and wound them out by hand  :undecided:

I did try with regular pliers, but they just turn both inside and out.

mole grips on inside and outside, and then renew the plastic threads, or stick on rear plate.
