Yeah the brakes work great. This f'ing car is turning into an obsession overnight. What the f**k is that all about? Seriously I am not a car person. Well my dad used to live in his garage when I was a kid working on his vw camper van and various motorbikes but I used to get under his feet.
I'm feeling the need to get a manual of some description.

The stick bit sticking up needs replacing not the whole bottle just the top think its to let you know if the brake fluid is low but just go a scrap yard and take one off another mk3 very easy fix and costs pennies.

The stick thing in the middle moves up and down. Pushed it down and the handbrake light came permanently on, pulled it up a bit and the light went off again. That's not good is it?

The cap is broken, the plunger is a level switch.

Right well I have been ringing round this morning and found a VW breakers about 5 mins from my house. yey! The bloke said they have mk3 stuff  and can put anything I need on a list if they dont have it so fingers crossed. I phoned two others that said they only do from mk4 onwards so I was getting a bit cheesed off.

The brake reservoir lid isn't broken, it simply needs the tiny clear plastic cap that pops onto the top. I had to get one for mine when i bought it from the previous owner. A trip to the breakers will get you one for nowt.

As do I. I don't lose any brake fluid, and brakes seem to act perfectly. Not sure what it is..
