I think small wheels can be executed really well on mk2's BUT like mentioned they screw the gearing up and make speed humps nearon impossible if you're running any reasonable amount of drop on the suspension to bannish the huge arch gap the wheels have created.

The wheels were superlites off a Mini fitted with wobble bolts as the pcd is 104 iirc.  14's aren't bad and that way you can retain a little practicality!

14s r the way. My mates got 13s on his 8v it looks good and apperentlt still pulls well
