just seen a vag-com lead on ebay for ?25 + postsge, its from china?
. just wanted to know if anyone has got from china, if not where should i get one from. if i get one i'll have to get a cheap laptop to use it. ODB 2 connecter used it that compatable with 97 mk3

I have bought stuff off ebay from singapore, I know its not chine, but my stuff arrived ok, and within a week.
I was also looking at a vag com cable today, but am confused as to which lead i would need, mine is a 95 mk3

i would've thought it would be the same one for all mk3's, not sure which one that is though?
. I forgot to ask, does the software clear the faults?

it may clear some faults, but it cant clear all faults i.e abs light coming on as that will requirea part being replaced

The lead itself is nothing special. Just an OBDII with either serial or usb at the other end (serial preferred). You need to buy the software to clear the faults/make changes or download the free trial version that has limited uses.

Does anyone know if it would work on a 97 polo (my girls car), as this is main car it would be used on because i will be selling my golf soon
