Thermostat or temp sender

Thought my thermostat needed changing as temp needle sat below 90, however after turning engine off, the ignition back on, needle goes to 90 indicating that this is not a mechanical fault, temp sender?

Mine was dropping & changed the temp sender, Didnt make a difference though so also ended up doing the Thermostat

Do them both i ended up doing that on mine.the gauge would drop off back to cold then go back up.

had my temp sender changed today and my temp still drops back whilst driving so looks like thermostat is next but been told its a lot more labour ?
