right someone helpfull posted up this image theother day




what is 18 ?   it appears to be missing from my car and vac lines 15 and 16 are blocked off

18 is carbon canister valve thingy, not fitted on uk cars

my car has an 18.... its the unusual PF code with a cat (originally), Does it do anything important?

No delete it, all it does is vent the fuel vapours from any connecting pipes to the fuel tank.
The EU law back then states its needed to stop vapour emissions from entering the atmosphere!
it also acts a breather as fresh air is sucked in from the bottom, but the canister itself cleans the vapour!
