Boot micro switch connection
« on: 19 February 2011, 13:02 »
oks last week i replaced my knakerd bootlock with a secondhand, the ligth in the boot worked for about 2hours and stopped, so as the replcment boot lock came with a connector i swoped them round and worked again that lasted about 5 days gone to the boot this morning and ligths not working again. So i know it could be down to the locks micro switch but i want to try a NEW connector before i go along the line of replacing the boot lock with a new one.

This is the connector would it still be available from the dealers? part number and prices please, or links to were can get one

Many thanks Peoples

Been to the car as i found my Clio's old cargo net so thought would see if i could use it with the Golf so opened the boot and . . . lights working now.

SELF FIXING ?

or could it be a lose connection or a damage wire ?

Does it go off with the boot open or does it just sometimes not come on? Probs just a sticking micro switch. Dont know the P.N sorry but cant be too expensive. Have a look in local scrappies, you might get lucky!
