Even if it's a panel pot you should get at least 6-8 coats, i have which is amazing really!

I'd say so yes, it will certainly add a little bit to the finish, it will also give a nice base for the wax.

It was a full size jar you got wasn't it? If so you should get probably 40 coats/layers out of it.

Yeah the full size jar  now that's what I call value for money.
