Mk4 GT TDI 150
« on: 01 February 2011, 18:21 »
I've got a Mk4 GT TDI 150, 120k, unmodified. Its basically sweet as a nut however its developed a fault recently which has me puzzled.

I can be driving along at say, 50mph and for whatever reason need to slow down but not stopping. When i accelerate again though it jumps, almost like its coughing. Its starting to get on my nerves a bit and needs sorting as i'm thinking of selling it soon.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Also its just had major service inc cam belt change, please tell me its nothing to do with that??!!

Any fault codes?

Sounds like a MAF or a boost leak  :undecided:

Could possibly be the injector loom breaking down  :undecided:

They don't normally show a fault code.  Approx £40 and an hour or so to change if it is the culprit though

Sounds feasible, i'll get it plugged in and see what shows up, if nothing there then i'll go down the injector loom route.

Cheers for your thoughts
