These really put me off as sometimes they go for £100 new on the bay.. and i fitted the pipe work from one with a pro-alloy core to my 1.8t when i first got it and it was bloody awful.. the silicone connectors i would change for samco or forge equivalents as ones in kit seem very cheap.. cant knock it for the money but..

look for a twin pass universal intercooler, then youll have inlet and outlet on the same side and be less of a pig for boost pipes, and less lag

Silicone connectors for mine came with Samco/THS connectors although was second hand so must have been a problem in 1st place.

the THS is a great intercooler and nick at RTech runs one on his i think the engineering behind it is fantastic and it fits a treat with very minor cutting.. plus unlike the forge one it has a bigger pancake pipe which frees up a few horses !!
