Turbo Actulators
« on: 27 January 2011, 20:21 »
Hi all, bought a k03s last week, not sure if to bother fitting it now or not because my cars running and boosting spot on and i cant afford to get it mapped to suit the k03s.

Im gunna rip the TIP/CHARGE pipe off at some point to see how if there are any noticable faults with the k03 as its got 123k on it and the k03s has 33k :)...

To the point... how interchangeable are the actulators? The turbo i bought doesnt have one with it... i didnt notice it in the pics, the guy i got it off didnt even realise... (stupid company who replaced the turbo for a k04 must have took it off and kept it for themselves!).

I know there is a difference e.g. K03s uses 85n and K03 uses 65n actulators... but will the k03s run fine with the Actulator off my k03 happily?

IF ANYONE HAS A knackered K03s but no fault to the Actulator give me a shout if you'll split it.

as above different actuators.. hold out for a duff turbo on the bay or something.. or just uprate to a forge adjustable one for £125...

You'll end up doing this anyway when you get bored of the new turbo :)

He'll want to up the boost of the K03s after a while anyway so he might as well skip the standard one and go for forge.

forge one isnt going to up the boost.. to boost is controlled by the N75 valve.. the forge one is just more accurate and a damn site more stronger.. you can treak the forge one to open at the right time etc.. i believe they can over boost but the n75 should compensate.. not 100% tho..

Yeah I just want a stand actulator, hopefully someone has a knackered turbo which they'll split. As for upping the boost I would first try hooking a MBC up to the n75, as the ko3 map won't be suited to the higher boost levels past 5,000rpm
