I noticed last night while driving home, a hinged plastic bit in between the two sun visors.

Anybody know what its purpose is

Thats what I thought. It looks like its got some kind of sensor in it if you flap it down?!? Don't know what it is, would like to though.

its a vizor

when u are driving along and using the interior reading lights it take the reflection off the interior mirror

And if you're tall enough it works as a sun visor for that annoying bit that always blinds you between the mirror and top of the windscreen
