That the minimum you can lower on standard shocks is 35mm?

I believe you can go as low as you want on standard shocks however the shocks will have very limited life left in them. 40mm is the usual that people go on standard shocks.

If fitting springs your better to fit shocks as well.

as above, for you'd pay for a spring and shock set up, you might as well find your self a set of coilovers... trust me, you will be pissed when you get your 40mm spring and 2 weeks later you realise you want to go lower...

Been there, done that!

Got a set of SPAX PSX 60mm kit, lovely on the front on a GTi..Too low on my VR not low enough on the back.. Went and bought some coilovers instead!!  :grin:
