Just thought id take my tank out before the re spray, but i don't have a manual for the car. Does any one have any advice on this job? Ive taken off all the hoses i can get to and the two metal straps that hold the tank in. Do if have to drop the rear axle down?
?? Any help would be nice.

Can't remember for certain but I think you do have to drop the front end of the subframe down a tad. You may get away with just undoing the 4 nuts and lowering it slightly but not so far that you would damage the brake hoses. As I say, its a long time since I've done one so can't be certain
I'm sure you've done it at the same time as removing the supply and return hoses but don't forget the connector for the sender unit over the top.
