GOLF Engine problem

Hi all,

MY window regulater clips needed changing as the broke during the cold weather , i took apart the door, noticed the battery had died, so bump started the car, problem now is i have an exclamation mark light flashing, abs light on, and theres no revs at all when i press accelerator, the engine is just ticking over, with no power from accelerator at all, i only took the door apart what the hell have i done? or isit the dead battery that could be causing this? help please

btw its a mk4 golf 1.4 W reg

You prob need to get vagcom onto it and get a fault code read then reset it and holefuly the prob should have been gone
