MK 3 16V Door lock barrel

Hi there,
I have an 'R' reg 5-door MK3 16V.

Recently I've been having trouble with the door locks, drivers side feeling loose.
Then, sure enough, the drivers side lock / barrel has now come completely loose and can actually be removed from door handle. The car can still loock from the passenger side, and the central locking doesn't seem to be affected.

Does anyone have any suggestions for inexpensive replacements or solutions??

If changed, do all locks and ignition barrel need to be changed too?

take borth handles off, the problem will become obvious. swap the unbroken bits from passenger handle to driver handle and refit, then go to scrappy/ebay/vw dealer and order in unbroken bits to fix passenger handle.  you can swap all the lock fingers from the broken lock to the replacment so it still works with your old key
