plaque edition numbers

Hi I have just brought a 5 door edition 30 with dsg,nav,in red and I am over the moon with it. I would like to get the edition number plaque and I have been reading the section regarding this is there a telephone number to call vw or do I need to write to them and if so what department.

you need to ring the customer care number on the VW website - 0800 0833 920

be prepared for a bit of a wait i think mine took about 6 months.

Ironman, Ive just bought an Ed30 too and Im also trying to locate my plaque.  Did you have any joy at all and if so was it simple?

My plaque took less than a week to arrive in December 2010. I am sure that customer services have them waiting for owners to call. My one appears to have had the glue on the back dry out

Spoke to them yesterday to get the one for mine.
