Doc, it seems me and you work quite well. As I have the knowledge when it comes to Macs :P
I've had Macs for the past 7 years and I can say I'd never go back!
If you have monitors and keyboards etc then yes, Mac mini may be great but I'd look at getting an iMac, for a few hundred pounds more, you're getting a lot more for your money. You could go with a used one from ebay, mine is 4 years old and still only had 1GB of RAM installed, and still beats newer windows machines!
The new 22 inch screen is lovely and the newer ones are LED backlit :) But my older 20" is hooked up to another 20" Apple Cinema display, and I love my set-up! Honestly mate, try it and you'll never look back. The new processors with a little RAM tweak will open iTunes in seconds :) and all will be compatible with iPods iPhones iPad etc, I'd say Macs even have more compatibility then Windows, never had an issue with my Nokia or HTC phones :)
